With more than 38 years of experience as Wig Specialists we sell only high quality, professionally designed wigs/hair pieces. We are authorised distributors in the UK for all the products we sell and we have the full support and backing of our suppliers. By selling our wigs/hair pieces online we are able to dramatically reduce the cost of the wig, however quality is still our main priority. All our prices are inclusive of vat.

What are the wigs made from?

All our wigs are made from 100% modacrylic. The reason for this is that a human hair wig, apart from being extremely expensive, is heavier to wear, requires frequent attention to styling and often requires chemical cleaning. A human hair wig/hair piece will straighten if it is raining and will fade when exposed to the elements.

We can supply human hair wigs if specifically requested.

How do the wigs/hair pieces have such a natural appearance?

Each wig/hairpiece is blended with up to 11 subtle shades, giving depth and a healthy and natural shading.

How long will my wig or hairpiece last?

Any wig or hairpiece is an accessory. Your lifestyle will dictate this and is a difficult question to answer. If you wear your wig/hairpiece every day then we would strongly recommend that you purchase more than one and alternate. We supply cleaning and conditioning instructions, which will help maintain the wig.

What is Monofilament?

Monofilament is where one strand of fibre is knotted singly on a very fine, single layer of mesh. This allows the natural skin tone to appear through. It is both water and air permeable for complete comfort.

What is Wefted?

These are open construction wigs with hair sewn onto the woven cap. They allow the head to breathe and these wigs are cool and lightweight.

Do I have to style the wig?

All our wigs are pre styled and if cared for correctly will remain in this style. Please see our Care Instructions questions and answers.

What head size should I order?

The majority of our wigs are Average head size, which fit most people. The wigs are adjustable with straps or hooks inside. We do also supply some wigs in a ‘Large’ head size. All Large head size wigs are clearly marked.

How do I put on my Wig?

No matter what your hair length we would recommend that you use a Wig Cap Liner. This will hold all hairs securely in place under your wig. Even if you have no hair this liner will make wearing your wig feel more secure.

Hold the wig with one hand by the back (where the tags are). Loosen the velcro straps or hooks in the back of the wig, you can re-size it later. Grasp the wig by the sides and slip it over your hair.

Then you can adjust the wig until it looks like your own hairline at the front.

Washing and Care Instructions.

How Do I Clean my Wig/Hairpiece?

  • Place the wig/hairpiece into its original hair net.
  • Using COLD water and a few drops of our recommended wig shampoo, very gently wash.
  • Rinse in COLD water.
  • Allow to dry. The easiest way to do this is to use our collapsible wig tree.
  • DO NOT comb or brush whilst the wig is still wet.
  • When completely dry shake gently and the wig/hairpiece will return to its original style.

Important note: Cleaning your wig in hot water will ruin the wig.

Brushing your wig whilst wet will remove the style completely .

Using normal shampoo may ruin the fibre.

How Do I Condition My Wig?

To condition the wig.

When using our recommended wig conditioner:

  • Hold 10” – 12” from the wig.
  • Apply lightly over, CLEAN, DAMP, wig.
  • Detangle the wig using our lifting comb.
  • Give a gentle shake and let the wig dry COMPLETELY.

For ‘Wet Look’

Use our recommended Conditioner to achieve this style:

1. Spray lightly on a CLEAN, DRY wig.

2. Comb into desired style, DO NOT brush.

Can I use Hair Spray on my wig?

We recommend that you use our wig spray, as it is water based and will wash out when shampooing.

Excess spray can cause a build up and may cause the fibre to look dull. Our spray will wash out.

How often should I wash my wig?

This depends on the amount of wear. Like clothing, wigs can pick up the smell of smoke or cooking etc. Therefore if worn on a daily basis we would recommend that the wig be washed every two to three weeks.

How do I brush my wig?

You should only brush a wig using a wig brush and when dry.

Can I use heated rollers, straighteners or tongs on my wig?

No, heated products should NOT be put on your wig. Our wigs/hairpieces are pre styled and do not require these. Any direct strong heat will damage the fibres in the wig.

Can I sleep in my wig?

We would recommend that the wig is not worn at night. When sleeping in a wig friction builds up from rubbing against the pillowcase and can cause tangles and matting. However, we do sell terry toweling and velour turbans, which are ideal for sleeping in and are extremely popular and comfortable.

Can I swim in my wig?

We would recommend that for swimming you use a terry-toweling turban. These cover the head and are very comfortable and fashionable.

Can I dye my wig?

No, the ammonia and peroxide found in hair dyes will ruin the synthetic fibres.

If you prefer to visit our salon rather than purchase on the net, we do offer a discrete and professional service at our salon in Devon, England.

We have for many years seen customers from all walks of life who suffer from hair loss for many different reasons, or who just wish to purchase a wig or hairpiece. We specialise in scalp problems and hair loss but also have a variety of clients wishing to purchase wigs just for fun or specific occasions.

We also have a wide client base of Transgender, Trans-sexual and Transvestite clients and we conduct group meetings for clubs and societies at their chosen venue.

We have a qualified Tricologist, specialising in scalp problems who mainly deals with men’s hairpieces. We do not sell men’s hairpieces online but we do fit, style and sell men hairpieces via consultations.

Consultations at our salon cost: £ 20. If a wig is purchased during this consultation this fee is taken into consideration. Our trained and qualified staff would be pleased to offer this discrete and professional service.

Consultations are by appointment only and can be made easily by e-mail to which we will respond within 24 hours.

With the experience and expertise of the original owners we can now offer an online service of the latest, high quality wigs at discounted prices. We find that this is the most discrete, quickest and cheapest way to purchase a wig. This site is for online shopping, however consultations and group club/society meetings are also available through our salon.

Postage & Packing

Delivery :

All orders are dispatched, first class within 2 days of receipt of the order. They are plain packaged with no outer indications of the contents. All wigs are sent discretely in waterproof, secure, envelopes and are unmarked. Orders can be sent to a different address rather than a billing address. For any reason if there should be any delay with your order we will contact you immediately.

Complaints

If you have any problem with your order please email our Customer Services Department immediately and leave a contact address or telephone number for us to contact you. Please be assured we will only contact you via the details given and when calling we will only speak to you directly. Discretion is guaranteed.

Any complaints will be fully investigated and we will inform you of our findings within five days of receiving any complaint.

All our products are checked to make sure they are in perfect order before leaving our premises. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Refunds

Refunds are extremely difficult due to the high quality of wigs/hair pieces that we sell, the personal nature of wigs/hair pieces and the hygiene. We do not re sale any wigs or hairpieces.

For these reasons we are unable to refund or exchange if they have been worn, attached to the head in any way, had tags removed, been brushed, been styled, smell of perfume or tobacco, been cut, washed or dyed, or damaged in any way.

All returns must be completed within seven days from receipt of purchase. We are unable to accept returns after this time. In the event that you are going to return a wig you must email us upon receipt of your wig. We ask that you inform us of why you are returning the wig and how. We cannot accept items without prior notification and we are unable to refund postage and packing. All goods are inspected before they are dispatched and must be returned in the same condition, complete with nets, tags and all packaging.

We charge a 15% administration fee on all returned wigs. There is no charge for exchanges. There is no exchange on sale items.

We will not take payments made for your order until the goods are despatched.
